Will be in Vegas next week and looking for ideas as to where to eat. Single, female dining along. To give some guidance I live in New York and on previous visits have been to several buffets, including the Bellagio and Luxor and eaten at Wolfang Puck's Spago. Any suggestions welcome.

  1. LAMP....I too am a single Female that travels to Vegas once a month on Business.
    I love to dine.......
I love DB Brasserie @ the Wynn, Olives @ Bellagio, The Palm @ Caesar's....
I love stopping for Bahn Mi and Dim Sum on Spring Mountain...I do the Lunch Buffet @ LOS.....
There are so many great choices......I find eating @ the Bar is the best way to go...you meet so many interesting people!

    Enjoy!

        LAMP,
As a single person I have never had a wait for a seat @ the bar....and I find the Bartenders very helpful...for instance @ the Palm they have order 1/2 size orders for me so I can enjoy a salad along w/ an appetizer. The only thing you get get is a 1/2 order of steak.
The Bar @ DB Brasserie is one of my favorites......
you will meet many singles that appreciate fine dining....dining solo.

I also enjoy FIX @ Bellagio...w/ so many small plates to choose from you can order an array of items.....

        You will be pleasantly suprised!
I can't wait for my next Vegas trip!

        ENJOY!

I would say without reservations, generally yes, but as to the wait that obviously will depend on when and where you go.

      2. Bouchon (Venezia Tower at the Venetian), have seen many people eating at the bar if you want to, otherwise you could reserve a two-top. I've had breakfast alone at that bar while my husband was working, the bartender was quite fun to chat with and he gave me some freebies. If you want steak, I've also seen folks eating at the bar at Craftsteak (MGM) and the food there is excellent. Actually if you have any particular food preferences, you could post them and then get suggestions because I think you could eat pretty much anywhere comfortably. I live in L.A. and used to go to N.Y. a lot for work (pre-2004) and one of my favorite places for a solo dinner was the bar at Gramercy Tavern. But I was always more comfortable at the bar than alone at a table, for dinner, at lunch I don't care, but at dinner eating at the bar does give you the opportunity to talk to folks around you.

        1. yeah eating at the bar when you are flying solo is definitely the way to go. and i find that you tend to get your food quicker.
Craftsteak at the MGM is really nice and if is after 10pm they have one of the best burgers you have ever had.
Border Grill at the Mandalay Bay is great for Mexican food. the enchilades verdes are outstanding
Burger Bar at the Mandalay Bay is another good choice.
Rum Jungle at the Mandalay Bay has better than average bar food and is a very social place..it turns into a club after 10pm.
