Hi, I am looking for some recommendations for great chilaquiles on the westside of Los Angeles. Thanks, christine
Sabor A Mexico, has some pretty tasty chilaquiles, both green and red sauce. You can get them with chicken, steak, or eggs, they also come with decent rice and yummy black beans (you can get pinto as well).
It has been a while, but I've had good chilaquiles from El Abajeño on Inglewood Blvd. just south of Culver.
Hands down, no contest, Pepe's Galley at the bowling alley on Venice and Inglewood has the best ever.
Thanks for the rec, by the way, I would never have discovered them without you!
If you're asking about the breakfast version with eggs - Gilbert's El Indio serves a pretty good version. Breakfast specials are so cheap. I haven't tried their dinner fare. 2526 Pico Blvd.
Mi Ranchito has exceptionally good (green) chilaquiles.
Washington Blvd between Inglewood and Centinella.
Brickhouse Cafe in Venice (Brooks Ave at 4th) serves delicious and fresh breakfast Chilaquiles and huevos rancheros.
Bamboo iin Culver City on Venice Blvd. makes a good version and the atmosphere is pleasant too.
