Irish Whiskey Question

I just inherited a bottle of Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey bottled in 1996. The cork is beginning to disintegrate but its still sealed. Any idea of its worth?

  1. New bottles retail in the 120-150 dollar range; hopefully you don't have leakage and can enjoy and recork it.

    1. like the other poster said, about 100-150 or so, but if the cork is starting to go I'd drink this NOW.

      1. NOW, is most definitely the correct answer! Hey, it's a dirty job, etc., etc....

I expect Harp00n would come over to help you with this dirty job. I would.

Only If you don't beat me to it, my Midleton brother.

If I knew where it was, I'd be on my way.

        2. I'll go you one better . . . it's worth only what you would pay to replace it. It's a fine whiskey; enjoy it! But it's only worth the $120-150 if you'd be willing to pay that much for another bottle after you've finished this one.

But definitely drink it -- don't sell it.

          1. NO DON"T DRINK IT
it will kill you and or make you impotent
Better send it to me for further disposal
