Nigella Lawson has a Guinness chocolate cake recipe that appears in Feast, and may be available on the web. It's not super gooey, but it's a really lovely moist chocolate cake, and easy as pie to make. Haven't tried it with cupcakes.

if you go to the food network website, there is a recipe for chocolate stout cupcakes (I think its from a Dave Lieberman show). I wouldn't call them particularly gooey, but they are yummy!
