Teppan In Little Tokyo

There used to be a Teppan Steak Houase on 1st and roughly San Pedro. Is it still there? Is there any really good Teppan in Little Tokyo?

Check out the Garden Grill in the New Otani Hotel. They have seafood, wagyu beef & American beef. For those of us who are not cholesterol-challenged, the chef uses the beef gristle to make a killer fried rice at the end (upon request). Jackie Chan was spotted ordering 10 orders of the fried rice a few months back for him & his entourage.

My guess is that you're referring to yasuhachi, and yes, it's still there. One of my favorite restaurants in Little Tokyo.

I believe Tokyo Kai Kan is long gone, sad to say.

Both Restaurants I mentioned have been gone more than 10 yrs but in their day they were the best and in the location the Poster described.

Forgive me, I didn't realize you were simply trying to identify the restaurant the OP was inquiring about. I had many a wonderful and fun meals at Tokyo Kai Kan, sad it is now a parking lot (I believe).
