I thought the food was bland and greasy and would have been very disappointed to spend a birthday dinner there. I am trying to compare the food quality with someplace else to give you a better idea, but am drawing a blank. I would consider it somewhere around On the Border, but with a limited menu. Are you looking for Mexican specifically? Are you willing to go to Dallas? For Mexican food in Dallas, I like Avila's on Maple, Javier's on Cole, and Cafe San Miguel on Henderson. The chicken was flavorless. The margaritas were not very good either. The atmosphere is really nice but I would rather enjoy my food. It was pretty small then and just had the one meal, fajitas weren't on restaurant menus back then (I think they were called Tacos al Carbon at that time).
