Cotija Cheese in TO

Does anyone know where I can get some Cotija (feta-like Mexican hard cheese from cow's milk) in Toronto? I was at the St. Lawrence market last weekend and the cheese vendors had no idea what I was talking about.

  1. Someone asked about this recently. Maybe they will read this and update us. My advice is to call places in Kensington like Perola's or Emporium Latino. You can also ask for Queso Anejado. There was a "Mexican" grocer on the corner of Keele and Lawrence called something like Tino's. They might have some.

I haven't found it myself, but I think they use it at Rebozos on Rogers Rd.

I forgot Tifco. They do distribute cotija here. they could hook you up with the retailor.

    2. I have purchased it at Perola's.

      1. Now available at No Frills Dufferin Mall.

        1. Highland Farms in Mississauga has it and other Mexican style cheeses.

          1. La Tortilleria at Dufferin and Bloor may have it. In addition to Perola's, they are my go-to for all things Mexican (and great fresh corn tortillas!)
