Are there any Chinese restaurants in the UES (preferably north of 80th) better than Shanghai Pavillion?

Wu Liang Ye is pretty decent. I find it overpriced though. It's on 86th between 2nd and 3rd. I'd rather go to Chinatown to eat the good stuff! :)

Wu Liang Ye - the lunch menu is terrific. Incredibly cheap. Big portions.

For truly the best go to Nancy Lee's PIG HEAVEN-world famous for thier ribs-the best you will ever find in the city-so meaty and juicy. She has a whole menu of course but always willing to make something special by request! I have had many a great meal there-nice place for a drink also and you can eat at the bar. Nancy's noodles-by request is one of my favorites.
