Desperate for kushiage...

Can anyone offer some recomendations for kushiage in OC or LA? Found some terific places in Japan and apparently it's quite popular, but here in SoCA, nothing. We tend to find random places that may have 1 or 2 things on the menu which "could" be considered kushiage, but generally not even close.

    A place that serves Kushiage in the LA area is in Little Tokyo at Weller Court. It's called Kushi Shabu and serves both Kushiage (deep fried tidbits on a skewer) and Shabu Shabu. I went there once and thought it was good and very reasonably priced.

      If what you ar looking for is Kushi Yaki or yakitori. The only place is Shin Sen Gumi in Gardena. If you are looking for fried stuff on a stick wait for the county fair.

        Not knowing what Kushiage meant, I looked it up on google and the simple definition was "a Japanese kabob on a bamboo stick". How is what you're looking for different, if at all, from this linked picture:
