  1. If you can make it all the way down to San Juan Capistrano you should check out the Ramos House Cafe. It's the perfect place for an event like yours. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is rustic and cute. It's in the historic area of SJC right by the train tracks.

The ladies from my office go there with any special occasion which has made me a big fan. I've even purchased the cookbook. Can't wait to go back!

    1. I know I just responded... but Newport Beach has Plum's which is also good. Smaller, and in a strip mall, but pretty food and pretty atmosphere. It's closer to you than Ramos House.

      1. The Beach House Inn on Sleppy Hollow in Laguna Beach has a private dining room upstairs with a terrific view of the ocean. It's truly an old house so it has lots of charm. Food is better than would be expected for a place with a good location (and the bloody marys and ramos fizz's aren't bad either). However, Ramos House is pretty darn good too. Different kind of environment, all out doors seating under a big old mullberry tree (actually a bush) directly across the tracks from the SJC depot. It would be fun to plan to meet someplace along the train route (Santa Ana, Irvine, etc) and take the train to SJC and walk to the restaurant (100 yards maybe?).

        1. Zov's Tustin or Newport Coast

            1. For a bridal party I would look at Lucca in Quail Hill in Irvine...lovely food and spacious room or patio...also try the spot in the UCI marketplace next to Diedrichs and Trader Joes...( name escapes me for the moment although I was just there for mothers day brunch)nice food and outdoor patio

              1. Also you may want to consider Sage at Crystal Cove Promenade (sister restaurant in East Bluff). They have a terrific patio and the menu is quite extensive for brunch and not the normal ham and eggs stuff here's the link:

Been a regular since they opened and haven't had a bad dish yet.
