Relocation of Penny Lane Restaurants?

I know that Mango shiva is relocating to the old DQ, but does anyone know if Escoba is relocating

I was just at Escoba tonight. I've had their food before when they catered a reception and was superbly impressed. Tonight, I found the food very dull, atmosphere uninteresting and messy - it's a pretty old (rundown?) spot, isn't it? Not interested in going back. I wish they didn't close Penny Lane - it was such a great looking building.

Escoba is not relocating- they're concentrating their efforts on Q Haute Cuisine.

Belgo was never part of Penny Lane, makan2. It's a separate building and is not affected by the construction/demolition.

        John/Others:

What about the Italian spot with the 2nd floor dining room and lounge downstairs. I one or two decent meals there a few years back when working in Calgary.

As I recollect the chef was "tight" with the chef di Gennaro when he was at Il Sogno and the chef at Sugo collaborating on special dinners.

Escoba is re-locating to where Tamarine used to be. They bought the building. John, I think you mean La Tavola - they run Q.

Thanks ennui. La Tavola is what I was thinking of.

For us "out of towners" but occasional vistors what is Q haute cuisine?

              Bob,

It used to be La Caille on the Bow.

                Thank you Yen.

La Caille was one of those spots that I had intended to try over the years but never made it to.

All the stores and restaurants are closed in Penny Lane Mall. The only one still open is Belgo.
