need private room - good old school italian - help

looking for a room to fit 15 or so, prefer downtown and want it to be very good italian.

any ideas?

John's on 12th Street has a big backroom.

It is in Murray Hill...Campanile has a room in the back where you can sit around to 15-20 people. The food is excellent. It is not a trendy place however. If you are looking for a place like Butter where Lindsay Lohan dances on the banquettes, you will not get it! It is on 29th street between Park avenue south and Madison.

I agree that the traditional Italian food served at Campanile is delicious. Good service and lovely ambiance as well.
