roasted onion relish or salad?

I roasted some onions. They are partly carmelized partly roasted. I want to make some sort of relish but I'm drawing a blank on what to mix with it. They are pretty sweet already.

  1. Definitely counter it with some vinegar and salt. If you're looking to break the sweetness, perhaps hit your farmer's market this weekend and pick up some rhubarb. A quick stew of unsweetened rhubarb, tossed with the onions and vinegar, would be a lovely relish.
