Savannah: Local 11 Ten?
Since no one has commented...I will...
It was terrific....food was beautifully presented, flavors/main courses/sides well thought out and the service couldn't have been better. It was pricey but definately worth it.. loved the mini steak tartare as my appetizer! No room for the dessert 'tho....went for Gelato in the Market a bit later (after a nice walk) Will go again on my next visit.....
The last time I was in Savannah, I went to Soho South Café. I highly recommend it.
It's affiliated with the Savannah school of design, so there is lot's to look at. I think it was an old converted bus garage and there was all this art, books, bric-a-brac all around, plus the food is really good, too. Somewhat eclectic, but delicious.
I go to Savannah about three times a year simply for the food. I drive straight to Uncle Bubba's Oyster house every trip now. If you like char-grilled oysters and shrimp salad sandwiches I assure you this is the place to be. There will be a wait so be prepared.
I guess an obvious choice is The Lady & Sons, which is good comfort food, but you best get there at 9:30 AM to put your name on the waiting list for lunch. Most of the time the buffet is worth the wait, but on occasion it offers some odd foods. Definitely worth a try if you've never been before.
My favorite romantic restaurant is The Old Pink House. I've been there a few times and I am never dissapointed in the food. It's supposedly haunted too, if you're into that sort of thing!
I've never heard of Local 11, but there is so much good food in Savannah that I'm sure it's great.
The restaurant 's correct name is "Local 11 Ten" It is located at 1110 Bull Street, Savannah. Try it, I think you will like it...I plan to go again when I return to Savannah in a few months time and thank you for all of your recommendations for other places (have been to Bubba's on a previous visit) Have you been to the "Mansion" yet?
