By this time we were drinking root beers and water, but we will be lured to return to explore the fine wine offerings. Two ten-foot bears flank the front door (well, they look at least that tall!)...couple of saddles for seating at the bar...BBQ grill out the back door...chalkboard specials...friendly service! Best value: $20 beer-can roasted chicken for two, highly seasoned with a Cajun rub and juicy, with salad and bread - generous leftovers to take home Ribs (small order of 5, $12) smoked to perfection, served with mustard and BBQ sauces. I have not had better ribs anywhere...good char, toothsome, falling off the bone goodness with vinaigrette cabbage slaw garnish. Sausages (2 for $12)-while these are excellent; it was too meager for hungry hubby - we shared our roast chicken and ribs to fill up his plate... Plus I love the homey, local vibe to the place. If you get seats at the bar, you can chat with knowledgable bartenders & other patrons. On multiple occasions, our neigbhors at the bar have been friendly locals who have given us various tips and we've even shared food and drink tastes.
