Best dish of braised Oxtail in all of New York?

    Not sure if Blue Ribbon's marrow bones with oxtail marmalade counts (since oxtail is merely the accompaniment, not the star), but it's certainly my favorite appetizer in the city.

      The marrow bones with oxtail marmalade at Blue Ribbon is a favorite of mine, too.

      Excellent at La Grenouille, and ruinously expensive too. At the other end of the price scale, consider the oxtail in peanut sauce at Elvie's Turo-Turo.

        When you said "braised oxtail" is that of a specific style / cuisine?

        Kampuchea Noodle Bar has an oxtail stew and an oxtail sandwich.
        Danube used to have an oxtail consomme, though I don't know if they still serve it.
        Alta (tapas) and Cfraftsteak have oxtail ravioli.
        davidburke & donatella has an oxtail stew with poached egg and polenta at brunch.
        Paprika at St. Marks has a pasta dish with braised oxtail ragu.

          The Oxtail Soup at Pam Real Thai (original) is pretty out of this world.
