If they are still using the same decorator as last season, Izzy's definitely has the capability of making the most artistically pretty ice cream cakes I've ever seen.

I didn't like the one Izzy's cake I have eaten, but that's due to my own personal preference for fewer flavors in ice cream cake. (My ideal ice cream cake = vanilla, double layer of chocolate-crunch, more vanilla, and no crust). Of course, Izzy's makes great ice cream, so if you customize it to whatever flavor combo you like, it will be very good. I think I need to try doing that some time this summer.

You can't lose with an Izzy's ice cream cake.

I've had a couple of ice cream cakes from Izzy's, and they were great. Once I custom-ordered a two-flavor cake: Cherries Jubilee and Dark Chocolate Zinfandel - wow! Another time, I picked up a pre-made cake that fortuitously happened to be Cherries Jubilee and Fudge. (Three guesses for my husband's favorite Izzy's flavor...)

I imagine that Izzy's would be great and fantasize about getting one of their cakes with the divine peanut butter ice cream. I have had Sonny's Crema Cafe grasshopper pie, however, and it was most excellent.

Ooh, that sounds good! I can't remember what flavor we got at Izzy's--I don't think it was one of the regular ones. I'm pretty certain the flavor was "German chocolate cake" or something like that, because I remember thinking how surreal it was to be eating a cake made of ice cream, the flavor of which was "cake." Whatever flavor you get at Izzy's, make sure it pairs well with the layer of fudge!

I just want to note that The Dairy Queen didn't pick Dairy Queen. :)

Ooh, good question. I've only tried Izzy's and it was very good. They have either
graham cracker or cookie crust, and a layer of fudge. They have premade ones in their freezer if you're in a hurry, otherwise, if you want a specific flavor, you need to give them a couple days notice.
