Random SF DAT Review Trivia Question!

I have searched every which way till' Sunday for the answer, but it has proved illusive.

A restaurant this year served a course of something pretty minuscule with a cup of smoke trapped in a shot glass on the side. What restaurant was it?

      Yes! It was the dining room at the Ritz with the quail egg. Thanks so much!

        That dish BTW is awesome! The quail egg and caviar are actually on top off the glass (covered in plastic wrap) and they slit the plastic to release the smoke. Or at least when I had it, that's how it was presented. The egg is cooked sous vide for like an hour and has the most incredible texture. I liked this much better than the sous vide egg I had at Coi.

    2. Sounds like Daniel Patterson but I don't know for sure. I didn't try any DAT's this year, didn't seem like much special was out there ~
