Cheap ethnic food in outlying arrondissements?

Hello again - The subject header says it all. I'm looking for non-French food in the outlying arrondissements (primarily 17th, 19th, 20th), and it has to be as cheap as possible. We all know where the good French food is in Paris, so how about the other stuff?!

I wish I had some specific recommendations, but it has been too long since I was in Paris.

For really dirt-cheap food, I get a sandwich merguez-frites from a van at an outlying market - greasy, but good.

Would a phenominal falafel count, I mean phenominal (read the reviews). I fell in love with this sandwich and this neighborhood, you'll have a blast. It's in the Marais (can't remember which arr though). Cheap and awesome!!

I second the falafel recommendation, even if it's more toward the center of Paris. This is the best falafel I have ever had, and it's really cheap (around 5-6 Euros).
