A couple of my favorites are the mussels with marsala, and gnocchi with green lamb ragu. A friend loves the lobster ravioli here also.

Definitely the mussels. I thought the lamb was divine the last time I was there. A special with corn risotto that a DC got finally taught me what risotto should taste like - I never particularly cared for risotto prior to this tasting - each grain was perfectly al dente, each grain distinct from every other, yet bonded together with creaminess. Great.

      Some of my own favorites:

Coccio, a wonderful spicy seafood stew (baby octopus, cuttlefish, clams, chickpeas).

If they're grating bottarga on anything, you might want to try that.

      Any pisco-based cocktail.

      The semifreddo for dessert.

I don't see the sea urchin/bottarga spaghetti, a longtime specialty, on the current menu. Maybe he's just tired of serving it, but it's pretty amazing, might be offered as a special.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!
        What is semifreddo?

semifreddo [say-mee-FRAYD-doh] Italian for "half cold," any of various chilled or partially frozen desserts including cake, ice cream, fruit and custard or whipped cream.

At Taranta, it's kind of like a frozen pudding.

I too love the cassava gnocchi with lamb and the tuna dish is phenomenal.

I liked their pasta dishes flavoured with huacatay, a peruvian mint. Haven't had it recently, but would recommend it if it's still on the menu.
