Boston rooftop dining?

Are there any rooftop options in the area?

The rattlesnake is not the best for dining, absolutley for drinking. In the North End there is Ristorante Fiore at 250 Hanover, its right at the top by Bricco and Lucca.

    2. Daedalus in Cambridge has their new rooftop dining open - haven't been myself only driven past.

I was there last week and really enjoyed the deck. It's nicely done and the wait for an outside table wasn't too bad (presumably because people don't know about it yet!)

      2. Oceana at the Long Wharf Marriot has a great outside deck, not quite rooftop but pretty close. Great view of the ocean and the food is good. Also, the Colonnade hotel has an awesome rooftop pool, free to hotel guests but on Monday - Friday, I believe its $25 to lounge by the pool. Brassiere Joe is the restaurant that services the pool area, and the last time I was there I throughly enjoyed the eggs benedict and mimosas mid day and my burger late afternoon. What could be better!!

I was at Oceana on Mem day, hoping to have a drink on their terrace. There were no tables out there. I asked the bartender inside if they were planning on opening the terrace soon and he said, no, the hotel had new management (though still seems to be a marriott) and they decided not to open the terrace this year.

Too bad, that was one of my favorite decks- food and drinks were nothing special, but adequate, the view was nice, and it was kinda hidden, so you could always get a seat.

Across the harbor- Tavern on the Water in the Navy Yard has some rooftop-like dining and drinking and one of the best views around. I haven't really tried much food there since the management/menu changed there last year, but their burgers used to be good.

The Roof Top Pool at The Colonnade Hotel's Dining Hours are as follows:
            8am - 11am Breakfast
11am - 7pm All Day Dining which includes pool side fare such as: sandwiches, appetizers, salads and fresh fruit.

and i think it's $35 to hang by the pool now.

        2. Rooftop poolside dining at the Colonnade Hotel. Lunch only, I believe.

It is lunch only and a limited one at that, but they do have a full bar. Hollah!!!

Never tried the lunch, but before anyone decides to bring their bathing suit, be advised the "pool" is more like a small dip n' dunk, with miniature golf grass around it.

I stayed at the Colonnade for a few nights last summer, and I was able to get the eggs benedict in the morning. It was probably around 10:00. But we all know how things change so maybe they're not offering it this year. I was surprised to read silver queen's post above about the Oceana not opening the terrace. For years they didn't take advantage of that space and then the last two or three years it's been open and always busy. I understand that the Marriots are for the most part franchised and I remember over the winter the bartender saying that they had changed management again. Makes no sense to me!!!

I was just thinking the same thing. If it's there, it's just dumb since I bet that's a reason many people would go. I wonder if the guy didn't know what he was talking about, I'd double check.

              2. Fiore in the north end has roof top dining......
