Any comments about Moose's in North Beach??

I haven't been there in years. I remember a lot of people being a fan of their burger, which might not even be on the menu anymore. The food was always good, though it can be a bit of a mob scene thanks to its tourist-laden location abutting the park.

      Thanks..
Ok for out of town guests?? kind of SF ambiance??? Guest isn't too much of a foodie...
Relatively big celebratory party... Someone also recommended Globe or Perbacco. I know that's not North Beach but that's ok...

I'd say it is nice enough for out-of-town-guests, though I don't recall the ambiance being very SF-specific. Perbacco is a much more up-to-date place in terms of food trends, if that kind of thing appeals to you. I don't know much about Globe.

I think your guest would like Moose's. It's location is near North Beach and the park, you can stroll around before and after the meal.

We like Moose's, since we live near by. But haven't gone in the recent months. I think someone else wrote a review on its new chef. If food is the most important thing on your list, you might want to do a bit more research.

I have to say that since they fired their chef and "restructured" the place it has lost all of it's charm for me. The food under Josh Capone was great. He had a charcuterie platter that was heavenly. Now....not so much.

For SF ambiance I would probably pick Washington Sqare Bar and Grill, Moose's old stomping ground...

              I second the WashBag.
