Creme Brulee in Culver City?

I'm in a bit of a spot. My roommate requested creme brulee rather than a cake for her birthday dinner this evening, but seeing as I'm at work all day, I don't have enough time to make it myself. Does anyone know of a bakery or cafe that I could pick up some tasty creme brulees to go? I work in Culver City and I live up by Miracle Mile, so somewhere near or in between would be ideal. Please help make my roommate's birthday dinner extra special!

    I think I have you covered -

    Artisan Tatin
    10836 Washington Blvd
    Culver City, CA 90232
    (310) 280-0282

It's a very good place for bakery/take out. Let us know how it goes.

If that doesn't work, Nove Cento on Main Street in Culver City does a pretty good blueberry creme brulee. Just ate there last week. Food overall is OK.

And if you're REALLY stuck: Trader Joe's had creme brulee in its frozen food section the last time I was there. Call ahead to make sure they still have it, that was a month ago.

I believe Artisan Tatin is gone. Last couple of times I drove by, it looked pretty closed up.

There is a great little trendy diner called Cook's Double Dutch in Culver City - (310) 280-0991 - on Washington Blvd. I moved out of state last year but I remember that they used to have two or three different types of Creme Brulee featured every day so it may be worth a try.

I just gave them a call and unfortunately they don't make them anymore. From what I've heard here at work, Double Dutch either changed owners or head chef and the menu was completely revamped in the past year. Thanks anyway.

I'm sorry! The only other place I can think of is L'Dijonaise (http://www.ladijonaise.com/restaurant...). We used to order lunch there all the time and I remember them having a huge pastry selection. Good luck!! :)
