Private terrace/roof for 10-20 people

Is there a private terrace for 10-20 people (a birthday party) with dinner and drinks?
Someone recommended Kitano - I think it is a hotel with a roof and they will supply hors d'oeuvres and drinks. But I wanted to see what else is out there.

I guess it doesn't need to be completely private, but not free for all either.

  1. Not sure what you mean when you say a terrace that's not private but "not free for all either."

Pampano has a very nice second-floor terrace so that you are not dealing with street traffic. It accommodates much more than 10-20 people, but I would suspect they could section off one side for your party.

L'Impero has a very small, charming patio that could probably accommodate a party your size. You would have to see if they rent it for private functions.

A Voce has a sidewalk patio. Not sure how many people it can accommodate or whether it's available for private parties.

    1. I think one of the Sushi Samba locations has a roofdeck. Check out their website.

      1. The terrace at the bar in the Ritz Carlton Battery Park (Rise) can be reserved for private parties. Expensive, and the food choices are limited, but the view is amazing and the drinks are good.

        1. park avenue summer-opens tomorrow and from what i understood is aiming to catch bigger groups for outdoor dining and avoid the cramped rooftop. long lines to the elevator scene. the number is 212-644-1900
