East Bay Cupcakes

Hi everyone!

I am looking for East Bay bakeries with good cupcakes. I am hoping to order around 30-40 cupcakes for a bridal shower. If anyone has any reccomendations for cupcake bakeries (or which ones to avoid, for that matter) in the East Bay, I'd appreciate it. The shower is in Walnut Creek, so I'd like to stay as close as possible. However, if there are places in the Berkeley/Oakland area, I'd probably be willing to travel.

Basically, any help would be great.

There was a long recent topic on this, though I don't think any of the recommendations is in Walnut Creek or the nearby areas: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/375324 Teacakes in Emeryville is my favorite, and they're very nice and accomodating for placing orders.

Love at First Bite in Berkeley and Teacake Bake Shop at Bay St. in Emeryville both have some good cupcakes. Also, maybe Crixa Cakes in Berkeley makes them.

Teacake does special and large orders. You can order the most adorable cupcakes for particular special occasions. http://www.teacakebakeshop.com/specialoccasions/weddings.html

          And they're pretty tasty, too.

I'm not sure, but it might be worth a call to Walnut Creek Baking Co.
