HELP! I need a good venice bday hangout!

For next Monday night, I am looking for a fun place with great food and great atmosphere for someone's bday gathering (a group of about 15)...thanks all!

Beechwood or Chaya. Both have great food and great fun atmospheres.
    Chaya has wonderful desserts.

The steak frites are awesome! The scent of good butter wafting up from it had everyone asking me what I was eating. And the portion was generous, definitely more like a restaurant entree than a bar entree. The pesto chicken sandwiches smelled and looked amazing too.

chaya venice or primitivo would probably be good options. the food's better at chaya, but you can get a big table out on the back patio at primitivo.

Forget what I said, I second both of these... how could I forget about them... Chaya is a bit loud, but for bday fun, I think it's good. Primitivo is fun b/c you can share the small plates.

Beechwood is great fun for a birthday, I had one there a couple of years ago. Primitivo or Wabi-Sabi are good fun too. Venice is VERY quiet on Monday nights, I think most of LA is!

I just went to a birthday party at Beechwood as well. Drinks and cocktails were both fantastic, and the chocolate cupcake was divine. Moist, soft, airy, with a creamy chocolate ganache frosting.

Beechwood came to mind for me as well. A plus is that the bar menu is even better than the regular entrees. Your group can try to grab the fire pit out on the patio or settle onto some of the comfy couches.

Based on a recent failed rec, I'd say not Joe's - besides, they're closed Mondays - but you may want to consider Chaya on Main St and Navy... very lively at night, varied menu that has interesting items that will please most, and the atmosphere is conducive to grand things of which I am sure you are capable of...

            26 Beach
            James Beach
La Cabana (disputed but I love their margaritas adn nachos)
