Bday dinner-South of 14th?

Looking for somewhere new to go for my 30th bday dinner. I lived in the West Village for 6 years so I've been to a lot of the restaurants in that neighborhood. Looking for something, fun, yummy and not too expensive, Under $60 per person maybe. W Village, E Village, Soho, LES?

Momofuku Ssam Bar for Asian Fusion
Tia Pol for Spanish Tapas
Crispo / Otto / Lupa for Italian
Degustation for a great small plate tasting (not recommend for big group though)

Be warned, that for a group looking to eat an actual meals worth of food, tapas can get expensive pretty fast.

Went to Surya on Bleecker on Saturday, sat in the back garden. If you like Indian, I totally recommend it. The food was the best Indian I've ever had (I usually only go to the little corner Indians, but my friend from SF who eats Indian a lot, really loved it, too). It's not expensive and I really enjoyed the back garden.

Surya & Gusto are both really great neighboorhood options that will be excellent, and fit your $ range.

Have you tried Gusto in your neighborhood? If you go on Friday, the special is grilled lobster. Really excellent!! Fun place with lots of atmoshere.
