need brooklyn restaurant for special dinner

rubys Jun 4, 2007 08:50 AM

my best friend is getting married and i'm throwing a special 10 person (or so) dinner
for her the weekend before she gets married. i'd prefer outside space, in the carroll garden/
park slope/cobble hill vicinity, good food but not too pricey. any ideas?

there is an outdoor section in the back and they are very accomindating.
I must mention being destroyed by bugs once at frankies, finding the food mediocre and never returning.
also alchemy(which i have not been to yet except for some superior breakfast granola, if that counts) has a newly open back yard, I don't know how sizable that could be though.

Frankie's is perfect. If for some reason there's a problem, you might also consider Lunetta as a backup -- they have a good-sized garden, great for parties (I held a very successful event there for 15 or so when the space was still Taku).

i adore frankie's, its my favorite! they always seems so packed, i wonder if they would fit a large party, and they don't take reservations. lunetta's sounds good, too.

Actually, the website indicates that they do take reservations for special events -- and I've seen plenty of parties there (small, medium and large).
