We've been several times since McGrath took over. We typically head in for brunch so we immediately noticed the pared down menu and some ingredients have changed (minor) on some old favorites. We figured that the best way to get the place back in the black was to make the menu more efficient, so we didn't mind. We just hope Pischke's stays casual and "no sniveling" no nonsense place it is. The wait staff did seem less engaged, but again, we chalked that up to the relatively new change of ownership. Hope the staff stays the same too.

I had dinner, tonight.
Halibut, green chili mac and cheese, carrots and parsnips, bread from Simply Bread, raw asparagus, celery, and carrots to nibble.
Everything was awesome. Except, would you believe, the macaroni was just plain mushy! Halibut cooked to perfection, but, overcooked pasta!
About $26 including tax and tip (no drinks).
I'd give the mac 'n cheese another chance, it tasted great.
Another great place on my short drive home from work. -

I've noticed the dinner menu features some of McGrath's signature dishes from Roaring Fork. Breakfast looks the same......

re: johnseberg
I was actually a bit surprised by the new dinner menu. It seems a different place based on the offerings. Not saying that's bad or anything. But that's a serious steakhouse menu for dinner at a place where one can get stuffed for around $10 at breakfast/lunch and has the formality of a casual eatery in the Florida Keys. Know what I mean?
