Cool dinner in south OC

Im meeting my dad in the south OC area for dinner. Im looking for somthing mid-price range like 15-25$ entrees(sp?). Somthing between dana point and laguna would be fine.

open to most nationalities, just no generic chain type joints.

It's great, but the main Dining Room will be more expensive.

Their Shabeen more casual dining upstairs does not take resvs...

How about Hush. I have not been in a while, but I have many excellent meals there. If you go, I highly recommend the patio as the interior is very loud.

The Beach House might be fun with your dad. They have locations in Laguna Beach and Dana Point.

I recommend Sapphire in Laguna Beach. Great patio with ocean view. Global cuisine. My wife and I have had three great experiences there.
