Copper River Salmon

Copper River salmon is now available at Costco for $9.99/lb. I fixed some last night with olive oil, lemon juice and capers. Wow, what a treat!

  1. Thanks for the tip...usually Costco gets wild salmon much later into the season. Whole Foods is sold out this weekend.

Our Costco in W. Springfield had wild Coho salmon (labeled Copper River ) for 9.99 also.
      It was just ok.
I would have rather paid more for better quality and fresher fish.
It was my first and last foray into Costco's fresh fish.

    2. Costco in Chandler, AZ had Copper River Sockeye yesterday for $9.99. Picked some up to cook tonight so don't know yet how it is.

In the past I've bought whole Copper River sockeye from Whole Foods and been pleased with it, haven't ordered any yet this year.

      1. i picked up a nice piece of copper river salmon at my costco on sunday. about $16 for a pound and a half filet. grilled it with some olive oil, salt, and pepper tonight. very good.
