Bridal shower

Need suggestions for a fusion bridal shower - representing Persian, Jamaican and Scottish dishes - looking for hors d'oevres and finger food or easy to eat buffet items. Any ideas re decorations etc gratefully accepted!

  1. scottish smoked salmon as little tea sandwiches would be nice, or you could serve it on little tiny potato pancakes. perhaps scones and shortbreads.

    mild jerk chicken, either over rice and peas or wrapped as pinwheels. tropical salad of mango, pineapple and lime.

    b'stilla is a traditional dish made with squab, but i usually use dark chicken meat and it's always a huge hit.

    persian sides could be chilled chopped spinach mixed with copius amounts of yogurt, a cucumber salad, or a shredded carrot salad with ginger, cumin and rosewater. garnish with sesame seeds. or small flatbreadstopped with ground lamb, scallions, mint and goat cheese. pistachio cookies, or baklava made with pistachios rather than walnuts.

      And for decor, I envision tartan plaid and tie dye...

        Finger food is key
        I threw my gf Bridal shower two years ago, luckily her mom helped cause I was traveling to the event so used her mom's house and her kitchen and her help to pull it off!

        Deviled Eggs are always a hit no matter who you are.
        I love the idea of lamb kebabs
        Could also do Jerk Chicken on Kebabs...
        Pistachios are a must (just damn handy for finger food)
