fun Birthday dinner downtown

Looking for a moderate and fun restaurant downtown (SoHo, West Village, East Village, etc) for a birthday dinner for 4. Anyone have suggestions?

Sala on Bowery is one of my favorites for a moderate/fun meal.

RGR is right about not enough info.... but Kitichai on thompson in the thompson hotel is fun and good. Tribeca grill could be fun and is good food, Ninja is definitely fun but not cheap,,Gigino's in tribeca is fun if you bring your own fun and it's good.

Any cuisine preferences? When you say "fun," are you looking for entertainment? And since people's conception of moderate can differ, it would be helpful to know your per person and whether that figure includes alcoholic beverages, tax & tip.
