I have a client coming in from LA, a food lover who has never tried horsemeat (I think it's illegal in the US?). A few years ago I would have taken him to La Palette for the quack n' track, but it's gone downhill. Any other suggestions? Oh, and not looking for a tartare.

    Coca has it dried - sort of like a ham.

      Pangea served a great cheval filet as a special last Sat so call ahead to see if it is still an off menu special

        Batifole on Gerrard had a horse tartare steak on the menu.

        EDIT: Ooopsie, didn't read your whole post, the bit about not wanting tartare... sorry...

          That's cool, in fact it was the Batifole dish I was thinking about, just was there recently!

            La Palette in Kensington market has horse for both apetizer and mains. I haven't tried it, but that's probably a good downtown choice.
