Ordering Huckleberries?

Does anyone know where I can order frozen huckleberries? I love them and can get them when I visit Washington - but don't know of a mail order source. Thanks!

I can't help you with a source, but I can tell you that Rocky Mountain (Idaho/Montana) huckleberries will be better than ones from the coast ranges (Oregon/Washington). For some reason, Idaho berries have more meat on them than the ones from Oregon.

It's early for huckleberries and they are getting very expensive. When we were in Montana two years ago, they were about $48/gallon.

Most pickers (they are all harvested in the wild by individual pickers) are out there competing with the grizzlies for them, so it's a dangerous business. They are stored or sold frozen for confectioners or bakers at a local level. I googled 'frozen huckelberries' and came up with this:

Good luck--I'm a huckleberry fiend myself!

here's an article about he current craze of restaurant use, from last year at sfgate(sf chronicle online):
