Mango Iced Tea?

I've been trying to make a good mango iced tea at home ever since I had some at the Macaroni Grill, but I just haven't gotten it right. I've tried mango tea bags, mango syrup, and mango nectar, but it keeps coming out overly sweet and sort of gross. I don't know if I'm using the wrong ingredients, the wrong proportions, or what. Any recipes/advice?

  1. Are you using simple syrup to sweeten it?

    1. Most resturants make iced tea in Bunn iced tea brewers and get their teas from big food service distributors. The distributors normally carry brands such as China Mist or Mighty Leaf. Both companies have mango iced teas. I would check their websites and I think you will find what your looking for.

I know Mighty Leaf specially formulates a mango iced tea that comes in filters to make 1 gallon of iced tea at a time.

Thanks! I just placed an order with Mighty Leaf. I have high hopes....

Tealuxe has a black fruit tea called Mango Mist that I just love. Very light and refreshing.
