I believe there was a whole long conversation about this on the Washington Post's Going Out Gurus chat last week. You might want to check out their archives because people named about 5 different places to get the drink.

IMHO a Dark & Stormy will be very good if made with the original ingredients, Gosling's Black Seal rum and Barrit's Ginger Beer. Both are from Bermuda and I think they make the very best Dark & Stormy.

I've had them many places with different rums and different ginger beers and none were as tasty as the original version.

I've ordered a full case of Barrit's at Corridor Wine in Laurel, Md and it's much more reasonable than the six-packs you find occasionally at some stores.

Hopefull the 'Going Out Guru's' blog list a bar with those two brands.

Thanks,
