Farmstand in Concord

Velda Mae Jun 1, 2007 04:58 AM

I'm trying to identify and locate a farmstand in Concord that's near the intersection of Rtes. 117 and 126. It's not Verrill Farm. My mom said it's a white building. Specifically, I'm looking for the farmstand that sells fresh roasted peanuts. I've looked on the Massgrown and Massfarmstands websites but to no avail. Alternatively, any leads on fresh roasted peanuts in the shell would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure about the peanuts, but Blue Heron Organic Farm in Lincoln is in that area, on 117 near 126.

I called Verrill Farm and they said they haven't had peanuts in the shell for a long time. For those who are wondering, I've called Superior Nut, Fastachi and the North End's Dairy Fresh Candies and no one knows where to find fresh roasted peanuts in the shell.

I think I know the one you're talking about. It is right near the intersection, a small old white bldg with a small dirt parking lot in front. We buy our pansies there. Don't know anything about the peanuts, but I'll pass by there tonite on my way home from work and I'll get the name of it for you. I'll post later tonite.

I'm sure you know where you're going, but for others' benefit, it's not near the intersection of 117 and 126 (there are no farm stands near that intersection), but rather at the next set of lights as you travel west, near the intersection of 117 and Sudbury Road (the road where you turn to get to Verrill Farms).

Hi Blumie, I just noticed that the OP said it wasn't Verrill Farm, LOL.
I guess DW may be on to something regards me not paying attention. There is a small place called Brigham Farm Stand (978-287-4334) on the right just before you get to Sudbury Road on 117W. It's fairly small and I think of it for flowers and corn only but they do have a small selection of veggies as well. I just called them and they haven't opened quite yet for the season. They carry whole roasted peanuts but don't roast them on site.

That's exactly the place I was thinking of.

Are you talking about Wilson Farms?

I think Blumie and Harp00n have identified the place in question. Thanks!

Whoops, guess I'm too late to the party. It is Brigham Greenhouse.
