Sun night favorite, Midtown East, reasonable?
Anyone have a favorite in the Midtown East area (39th & Lex) area for 2 Philly hounds? Not too expensive, but one that you've enjoyed a lot?
I stay there all the time, usually on Sundays, and the area feels deserted . Unfortunately, Branzini is closed, and I can't eat at my favorite sushi joint since SO isn't a fan (he doesn't care for Indian or Mexican either)

Well my favorite sunday night dinner in midtown (not quite east but 48th and 6th ave.) happens to be the pre-theater special ($49.95) at del frisco's (offered on sunday all night long). It includes choice of salad, 8oz filet (cooked to your liking) or salmon or a pasta (i think) served with chateau potatoes, steamed broccoli, and followed by any choice of the desert menu (my favorite tend to be the warm chocolate cake). This along with their house pineapple martini and/or a nice glass of wine is always a nice treat after my bf and i are stuck working on a sunday. A closer alternative that I would reccomend would be Cibo ($29.95 3 course pre-fix)
