Early morning Saturday breakfast in SF

I am picking up a friend at SFO at 5:30am this Saturday. She's buying me breakfast. Any thoughts on a good breakfast place in the city (or even the Burlingame area) that opens up early early on Saturday? Also, does anybody know when the vendors at the Ferry Building farmer's market really start up? The web site says 8, but I've heard that things get going earlier. Thanks!

  1. Breakfast in Burlingame at Nini's is great. Jo Ann's in So City opens at 8 and has awesome breakfast dishes like the Santa Fe. In the city one of my favorite places for morning chow was Home Plate on Lombard. Been awhile since I was there though.

    1. Millbrae Pancake House opens at 6:30 AM on Saturdays.

      1. Dottie's true blue cafe
        522 Jones St
        San Francisco, CA 94102
        (415) 885-2767

        opens at 7:30

if you're really early Bay (was First) Watch 2150 Lombard Street, San Francisco, CA 94123
(between Fillmore St. & Steiner St.)
        (415) 775-9673 i believe is 7 am

        1. If you are looking for breakfast at Ferry Plaza, no on starts until 8.

If you are looking for produce, as soon as a vendor is set up and it is light will do. If you go before 8 am, it is always good to ask a vendor if you can buy ... or check to see if other people aree buying.

I don't know about Saturdays, but Acme Bakery opens at 7:00 or earler on weekdays, as does Peet's. Lulu Petit is also open well before 8:00 on weekdays.

I was focusing on the outside vendors. Don't know about indoors as it is not the first area I go to early in the morning on Saturday.

Peets is open before 8 on Saturday, but Acme doesn't open until 8. Few vendors -- other than produce -- are open before 8, although I believe you could get the pastries and coffee from Frog Hollow's inside operation before 8 as well. Haven't tried them yet, but they have some savory empanadas that sound good.

              2. Boulevard Cafe in Daly City opens at 7:00am daily and serves very good breakfasts. They are right off 280 at John Daly Blvd. going toward Westlake.
