Ravenna Closed

Called Ravenna and was told it was sold yesterday and would be opeing mid-summer as a new restaurant...

Was also surpriseded they closed so suddenly. When I called for reservations, talked to the owner of the new restaurant. It's called Zacharias Creek. He said they plan to open mid-summer.

NOOOOO! I loved that place! It is hard to find a good restaurant in that area that is not completely overpriced! Hopefully they're not making room for yet another Chili's, or Applebee's, etc.

This really doesn't surprise me to be honest. The place was really good and extremely popular when it opened years ago and I have noticed a steady nose dive in the last year or so. The chef/owner (Shawn) has his hands full with the Blue Horse (down Rte. 73 in Blue Bell) I think and it wouldn't surprise me if he's venturing out into other places as well. I say, go next store to Fuzion, which is a better restaurant and even cheaper (albeit completely different cuisine of course). Lets hope the new place is something interesting and serves good food (and stays BYOB).

Shawn actually has been out of Blue Horse for some time. Lease was up, and he and his wife are bagging the restaurant business. The new restaurant taking over midsummer will be called Zacharias Creekside Cafe. Owner used to have the Twin Bays in Phoenixville.

You're kidding! I was just there a couple weeks ago. I really liked that place.
