I know that there was a recent post related to snow-cones, gelato, and ice cream, but I felt that Casey's deserved its own thread.

It is located right off Airport Blvd between Lamar and I-35 (around 51st if memory serves).
I have been there twice. For full disclosure I grew up in Louisiana so perhaps I prefer these type of snowcones over others.

For the newcomers.....A New Orleans sno-ball will usually be drizzled in "cream" which is sweetened condensed milk. As far as I am concerned it is the best way to enjoy a snowcone. BTW you need to ask for "cream" on the basic flavors

The flavors that my wife and I have tried are

Cherry
Nectar
Orange
Grape

They also have special flavors

Eggnog (which I would not recommend unless you really like eggnog
Chocolate Covered Cherry which my wife like and I did as well, but I though it tasted like a Cherry Tootsie Roll lollipop.

Only the brave would think about getting a large and we ordered the small size and were very pleased.

The small with cream is less than $2.00

make sure to ask for a Sunrise! Its half Pineapple/Orange and Lemonade! Its what I get everytime. Although I curse the hot weather that every Texas summer brings, I also know that it means I have over three months of excuses for stop at Casey's!

I think the best is coconut with cream! It's like a coconut creme pie. Other favorite: nectar.

I'm giving a second to Spearmint. I lived in Louisiana during my formative food years and I'm of the ilk that Casey's are hands down the only true thing. When I was growing up, my brother and I loved Spearmint. I also loved bubble gum, which was blue, but I'm thoroughly convinced it's only because all kids love blue food.

These days, I tend to go traditional with strawberry or spearmint (hey! That's traditional to me!)

Oh! I agree! I regularly ordered the blackberry and cream for a while...but the wedding cake with cream is by far my favorite!

Sour apple with caramel is good too.
