help, san mateo/burlingame reco for late dining

i am meeting friends that i havent seen in a while tonight, after 9pm

can someone recommend a comfortable place, rather nice than not, i think sushi is ok around the area?

I don't know of any sushi places that are open late, but there is the Nectar Wine Lounge in downtown Burlingame (off Burlingame Ave), which is open until 1:00 am Thurs - Sat (till 11:00 other nights). My husband and I enjoyed our meal there about a month ago. It's pricey but you can also just get appetizers. Of course wine is their specialty and it's a nice atmosphere.
