Love this place. I keep trying a different pasta every time and it's all been pretty to very good. The service can be a little indifferent when you walk through the door, and sometimes the place is packed and noisy, but it's a great little corner spot for great pasta nonetheless. And you get to park in front of the Bentley/Aston Martin dealership across the street or the Rolls dealership on the Pastaria side of the. “What’s next?” you think. “Lamborghini?” Nah, that’s a whole five blocks away on Santa Cruz Avenue.

Pastas
-Pasta with Meat Sauce - This is the boyfriend's stand-by since he doesn't eat cream or cheese. It *is* really good. (B+)
-Sausage Lasagna - So, so good. My mom still raves about it. (A+)
-Lobster Ravioli - This is often on the specials menu. It tastes rich but is really yummy. (A)
-Aglio y Olio - Ultimately too much olive oil (B)
-Agnoletti in Marinara Sauce - Sauce a little boring (B-)
-Butternut squash Ravioli in Tomato Cream Sauce - Really good, not sure the sauce is the perfect accompaniment (I'm used to a brown butter sage sauce), but the sauce is good so I try not to worry about it (A-)
-Mostaccioli in Vodka Sauce - Same tomato cream sauce, but doesn't taste like vodka sauce; too much feta (B+)

I’m really tough on grading. My favorite dishes at restaurants are lucky if they get an A-.

I like the garden salad. It's not much to look at, since all they add to the romaine is some bean salad. But the bean salad is good stuff. Great complimentary bread, too.

Despite the name “Pastaria & Market” there is no market to be seen. Maybe it’s because many people get to-go orders or because the pasta is made fresh.

I've heard about this place but I haven't been there yet. How much are the dishes there?

When my dad gets a pasta craving he usually heads to the Old Spaghetti Factory but he lives in LG so I mention this to him.

The dishes are really reasonable - the boyfriend's beloved spaghetti and meat sauce is $8.99 I think. It's one of the lowest priced dishes on the menu. Most of my pasta dishes have been $10.99 or $11.99. The lobster ravioli was $15.99.
