San Diego suggestions please
Hi, all,
My family and I (all grown except a pretty adventurous 8-year old) are traveling to San Diego next month and staying downtown and on Harbor Island. Would like a nice range of restaurants that cover the gamut of cuisines, price ranges, ambiance and nationality. Not renting a car, so would love to be able to trolley or bus there. What are your personal favorites, and what can we expect?
Thanks in advance for the info!

Hit the button too soon..sorry
Went to Island Prime on Harbor Island a couple of weeks ago and was really good and the views of the bay were really nice..
You can do the happy hour at the Brigantine on Shelter Island..great fish tacos for $2.25
Point Loma Seafoods is usually always good..
You can check out the Gaslamp area of downtown SD..or Little Italy
You can play tourist and eat at Anthony's on the waterfront..
I love eating at the oyster bar or the deck at the Fish Market on the bay
You can catch a water taxi from Seaport Village area and go to Coronado and eat at a variety of restaurants..
Have fun!gaslamp.org

Adrienne - there are several, recent threads that would be of help to you; I imagine that some of the usual and knowledgeable suspects will weigh in shortly to help you out. There are plenty of places downtown that you will be able to walk to although where, downtown, you will be staying would be helpful. Enjoy your visit!
