Old Orchard Beach, Maine

I've been disapointed year after year with the food choices in the area. More recently I've been trying fried clams in the area and am always disapointed.
Baileys, Kens, The Clamshack all fail in comparison to places like the Clam Box in ipswich.
Very disapointed.

Not close but if you go shopping in Kittery stop at Bob's Clam Hut - really good fried clams.

We've always been happy with the Lobster Claw. I don't know as they have the best batter for clams ever, but the clams are fresh.

I'm afraid your best bet is to go to Portland. In Saco, there's RosaLinda's for a quick breakfast and lunch is usually good at LilyMoon cafe downtown Saco.

I'm also interested in any information out there. I'm staying 3 days at the end of next month and haven't had any prior luck. We had lousy service and food at The Village Inn, and drove down to the Maine Diner in Wells and we were again very disappointed.
In all seriousness, if you're ever in Southern MA, the best clams I've ever had is at Brian's in Linwood. www.briansrestaurant.com/
