One place we go with our girls 4 & 6, especially for breakfast but a bit of a ride from Wells is Food and Co. in York. Take Route One South just past the York Welcome Center and Stonewall Kitchen. About two blocks on the left behind a credit union is Food & Co. Excellent benedict, omellettes, sausage, pancakes (with real maple syrup), grits, etc. The kids love it and so do we! It is sort of a take out food place that also serves breakfast and lunch. Much less expensive than some alternatives and no line!!
If you want to brave a line for kid friendly breakfast try the Omellette Factory on Route one heading south from Wells in Ogunquit on the left side or the Egg & I, before that on Rout 1 on the right hand side heading south.

There are some great places to eat in Wells. There is the Steakhouse. Right on RT 1 there is a Billys seafood place on the road to wells beach. There is a place called Vinny's East Coast bar and grill Rt on Rt 1 Just behond the Ogunquit Line. Great sports bar, and great salad dressing. Or at least we think so. Prices are good and they have a kids menu ,should you need it. Just ask around at the place your staying and Im sure they will recomend some good places. http://www.accessamer.com/Maine/Wells.html http://www.wellschamber.org/ Take a look at these two sites Im sure you will find everthing you will need to find out what to do or where to stay or where to Eat. Happy vacation , wish we were headed your way.
