If your friends are into sushi, there ain't no better gift than table for 2 or should I say counterspace for 2 at Urasawa, assuming you want to spend the $$$.
Also, chef's tables at Providence, Table One (Hotel Bel-Air), Meson G, or Patina...
Love Grace as well.

How much are you looking to spend? My favorite is Providence, but it is rather expensive. My second choice would be Grace--expensive, but less so. I like AOC a lot but I feel that it wouldn't be a good wedding gift--not a romantic atmosphere, and less special occasion-y than the other suggestions.

Hotel Bel AirNot trendy, I went there for the first time Saturday night, is Carlito Gardels on Melrose. The food was terrific and it was very romantic. The service was great. They have a website.
There are so many to choose from!
