Is Garrett Popcorn Shop in NYC kosher?

Luckydog May 27, 2007 12:29 PM

The address for Garrett Popcorn Shop is:
242 W 34th St. - 1 Penn Plaza
On 34th between 7th & 8th

Anyone know if it is kosher? Also, if it is kosher, is it good, or does it taste like any other popcorn? Thanks!

I do not believe it is kosher - It is a chicago tradiiotn - and the popcorn is great especially the caramel crisp -

          I wrote customer service:

"Thank you for your inquiry. Garrett Popcorn Shops products are not currently considered kosher. (We're hoping to move in that direction soon, but for now at least we are not calling our popcorn kosher.) If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to call Mardi or Jennifer at 312-943-4200. Thank you!

Garrett Popcorn is not kosher but Popcorn Zone is certified Kosher. They have all different flavors, over 30, that are certified pareve kosher. Their website is: www.popcornzone.com. Great for Vegans too.
