Mangia Italian -- Idaho Springs, CO
Had some excellent food at Mangia in Idaho Springs. Service from the waiter was good, but the kitchen was very slow at a time when there were very few patrons -- maybe six people other than wife and me. Even so, would go back in a heartbeat -- the food was that good.
Bruschetta was excellent -- much better than good bruschetta we had in Vail at La Bottega the day before. Don't get it if you don't like garlic! Lots of chopped garlic, basil, tomatoes, capers and olive oil on fresh toasted baguette. Wife had Bistecca Salad, consisting of chopped Romaine lettuce, purple onions, gorgonzola, kalamatas and cucumber. I had Spaghetti Pomodoro with a couple of meat balls. It was all really, really good despite the long wait.
Recommend highly if you happen to be in the area.
